April 30 letter from Chief Lanier
Safety Information for Takoma, DC
This page is intended to help keep Takoma Safe. Although our neighborhood is relatively low in crime, like all urban areas, we have our problems. The premise of this page is that awareness of crime helps deter crime. The best deterrent for crime in the streets is people on the street and watching the street. This includes everything from Orange-Hat patrols to the simple habit of looking out your window now and then. For related information centered on the Metro station, see Safe Takoma.
